Welcome to Bell Family News and Events.

To utilize the Live chat to speak to anyone or group of people live - LOGIN and it is pretty self explanatory.

Peruse and read the news and events at your leisure.

If you would like to add an event or a news article:

  1. You must be a Registered User
  2. You Must Login (The Register Menu in the left column)
    Registrations must be approved by the administrator
  3. Click on Add a Media Article
  4. Type in the title for your article or event
  5. Place a teaser one line in the Content box
  6. Click on "READ MORE" link under the Content Box
  7. A dividing line will appear under your Teaser linePlace the rest of your content under the dividing line
  8. YOU MUST SELECT ONE: UNDER CONTENT BOX: "SECTION": Choose the appropriate section NEWS, EVENTS, FAMILY STORY, or COMMENTS & MESSAGES.
  9. UNDER CONTENT BOX: "CATEGORY": The category will automatically be selected when tyou choose te section.

Both the section and the category must match / be the same.

Click "Save" in the Upper right hand corner.

To put in A Photo or Image

  1. Place Cursor where you want image to go
  2. Click "image" below the Content Box
  3. Select Browse Files
  4. Find your image and select OPEN (make sure there are NO spaces in the image name)
  5. Click START UPLOAD ( watch for it to Upload is Successful) Image must be less than 1 MB in size.
  6. Select photo / image and Click INSERT in the Image window
  7. Picture should appear - if it doesn't - repeat 1, 2, & 6

Resizing the picture:

  1. You can click on the image
  2. Go to the right lower corner of the image
  3. Click and hold the little "box" on the right lower corner of the image
  4. and move it diagonally inward to the size you want
REMEMBER: You can reduce the size of an image without distorting it but you cannot enlarge it.

Click "Save" in the Upper right hand corner.

EVENT is a day and time something is going to happen:  Anniversary Party, Reunion, Birthday Party, Graduation, Wedding date, etc

NEWS is reporting or commenting on what happened at any event....

ALWAYS remember to log out. Leaving the site does not log you out.

To respond to any particular media article, other than a Chat, just Click the "Add a Comment" at the bottom of each media article.
