Deer Season Starts Tomorrow!

PostDateIcon Friday, 06 November 2009 14:08 | PostAuthorIcon Author: Cecil Bell, Jr

It is that time again. November 7th is opening morning and with cool weather and the bucks are already chasing the does it could be an interesting day for us hunters. Texas Parks and Wildlife has changed some of the game laws this year so be sure to check the rule book to see if your county is affected. I know that Leon County is now on the 13" minimum width rule for bucks with forked horns.

There are always lots of new people in the woods and on the roads during deer season so be safe and good luck this season!

SOPHMORE MUSTANGS WIN AGAIN!

PostDateIcon Friday, 23 October 2009 00:51 | PostAuthorIcon Author: Charlie

Led by two solo tackles in the backfield by starting defensive tackle Charlie Bell, the Mustang defense roughed up the Montgomery Bears and allowed no points. The Mustang offense provided plently of excitement for the crowd. The Mustangs won 28-0. The 6-1-1 Sophmore Mustangs will face Huntville next. The game will be played on Thursday night at 5:00 pm on the home field of the Sam Houston State KATS. Come out and support the Mustangs!

Be on the look out for additional photographs to be posted. My wife Jo Ann has found some really neat photos from the 50s and 60s. We are also working hard to complete the interface with a Family Tree Maker.
